Unique oldschool style

It has everything we love: neon, pixel art, a bit of outrun, tiny piece of synthwave, scanlines, VHS effects. What else anyone would want in a retro arcade game?

Amazing music

If you love 1980s then you definitely love good music. We’ve got professional soundtrack for you from a great synthwave artist - Beckett. That’s why we recommend you play with headphones to have a fully immersive experience.

Charismatic characters

Kevin: a typical 80s kid who mutated and gained superpowers
Buddy: best dog companion you've ever had (also very cute)
Friends: save your friends Joy, Darryl and Ben and they will help you on your dangerous journey. Just shake your phone to use their super powers.

Different modes

Normal mode: fun, challenging and addictive but not the hardest game ever
Hardcore mode: run, survive, test your reflexes (the way arcade is supposed to be played)
Rage mode: what others call zen we call rage, let your inner anger out!

Top Run was developed by a family of two people who adores 80s and wanted to create a fun game for adults who are nostalgic about 1980s and a game for kids who love addictive and challenging action.

The game is free with ads, there is no way someone can pay to win in this game, everything is completely fair. If you’d like to support us, you can buy a full game that will unlock everything for you and give you additional playable retro pixel arcade! A game within a game! Yay!

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★The game is pretty good, it's just difficult with the objectives that have to be done. I'm not very good at getting to a very far distance and it sucks you have very little ammo to attack enemies. It's difficult to dodge them to sometimes; mostly those fat dudes who dodge my attacks and I run into or they jump on me which sucks. But other than that, this was pretty good.
3 ★It's a great game but each time you play is just too short to only allow 10 plays before having to wait. Unfortunate.
5 ★Excellent!! Nice casual gameplay that is addictive, with an epic soundtrack and themes. Download it now!!
5 ★Checked it out on a whim from Reddit. Those first licks of the 80's synth had me looking for a place to purchase. Main characters name is Kevin, I was like, "oh cool, they're doing that thing where 'you're in the game'". They were not. Controls take getting used to, graphics are pretty and flashy, menu sounds are a little sharp with headphones, but the music is where it's at. BRB, going out to get a letterman jacket and doggo so I can be as cool as this Kevin.
5 ★There are three platform levels that guide your character (and his dog) on their mindless marathon. You jump, double jump, and shoot limited floppy discs at enemies, so choosing the right path takes split-second motions of your fingers. The music in the game is a synth-wave mix of tracks that resemble the 1980's cinematic feel, and your character (and his dog) have various skins and quotes that appear above their heads to remind you of the retro-past. It's a "get up, try again" sort of game where you attempt to beat your last run, or try and achieve some of the challenge items to level up your player. The gameplay is fine, but sometimes the rounds are so short because you couldn't get a jump to land or whatever, so you have to go through the whole menu system again and may need to watch some ads to restart the action. Based on this frustration alone, paying $1 for no ads is nice, as is paying another $1 for infinite credits. If you like unlocking all the skins (and future ones), that's $4 extra, or you can get the full game with everything above + another playable game within this game for $6 total. It's up to you, which is a nice deal. It's a simple game, but it will bring you multiple plays worth of enjoyment.
5 ★Extremely well developed games with a great 80's vibe with an addition to a plethora of 80's references. The elements of light humor instilled in the game is apprective as well. Also, the sound track is so good I had to the artists our on Soundcloud! I'm in my 20's and a huge 80's fan, thank you for your work!
5 ★If you love the 80s and or 2D platformers then you're going to absolutely love this game. It has great music, lots of customization, it even has mini games. Ads are in the way or super frequent but it's a pretty reasonable price to get rid of them so it's worth it.
2 ★Wont let me play at all, keeps asking me to buy tokens. Edit: Reinstalled game and now it works. The 80's aesthetic is fantastic, really takes me back, but the controls are too loose and laggy for this to be any fun, it's just frustrating instead. When trying to jump there's a delay between the command and the action on the screen. I tried the different control schemes (tap vs swipe) and there's still noticeable delay.
4 ★The only thing stopping me from giving this game a perfect 5/5 is the disruptive glitching + slow-mo in the tutorial. Every time an instruction flashes, the game almost stops to instruct you. Fair enough. But then it's ideal to let the player give each new instruction a try for at least 5-10 seconds before you lob the next one at them, thereby breaking the immersion yet again.
4 ★It's a really cool runner. The only bummer is that you have a limited number of tries that recharge with time.
5 ★Awesome game if you like retro style sidescrollers. Graphics are simple but appealing, it's as fun to look at as it is to play. Lots of cool skins for the characters, I've only been playing for 20 minutes and already broke down and bought a corgi XD Just a really fun game overall and absolutely worth a try.
2 ★Almost unlocked hardcore mode, had a bunch of upgrades, and was really enjoying it. Turned it on today and all my progress was reset. I have the trophies, but my stats are showing 0 for everything and all my upgrades and levels are gone. Thank you for explaining the jump delay, knowing it happened on release made it much smoother to play.
