5 ★Great game, but I think the new update broke the game on my cell phone, didn't work even after clearing cache, force stopping, restarting phone, and/or reinstalling, but I managed to get it working on my android emulator on PC so it's not urgent and probably has something to do with my phone model. I use a Revvel 5G, and specifically, the game crashes immediately after opening and showing the startup loading screen. I hope this helps :)
5 ★This game is pretty impressive. The content alone is crazy and the accuracy of the train cars is spot on. I work for the Alaska Railroad and the trains in the Alaska chapter are SPOT ON, color and all! I've only scratched the surface and am enjoying it immensely. Now I can imagine the game getting a bit repetitive the further you get if its the same as the beginning. And I know its an 'idle' game but I wish you could have the option for the trains to not automatically ride across the country.
3 ★Very calming way to pass the time, I thoroughly enjoy the game. Until when I decide to watch an ad for additional benefits, that my experience becomes a frustration at times. Ads intrusively automatically open the Playstore at the end of almost every ads. As if ads aren't already annoying to watch (be it willingfully or forced to), now you have to deal with permission-less performance, too?
5 ★It took some trial and error to figure out the way points, car upgrades, inventory, etc. But overall a very addicting game. I love unlocking new routes around the world! The overall story line is OK. There are a lot of chatty characters and a business competitor! (I wish that squeaky rubber shoe sound for the scrolling text when the characters speak could be changed) But I am more focused on completing the goals for each region and upgrading cars!
4 ★Fun game that I will continue to play. But the premium subscription available on the game is very lacking. It cost more than netflix and doesn't provide what the cost should reflect. I would like to see all push ads and optional ads gone if your going to be charged $3.99 a week. Also the daily reward calendar is lackluster. Other than those it's pretty entertaining.
4 ★Now don't get me wrong, the idea of this game is absolutely phenomenal, and the actual attempt to make a truly fun train game has been satisfied. The game, however, has simply not been updated enough, there is a bug where when you try to access your cars, and individually place them, your train cars will not show up. Overall a very fun and addicting app, and I hope it continues to grow 🙏
4 ★I think that the game is a excellent partial idle game. it offhandedly requires your interaction, but will suffice on its own. The ads! This is the one game that I think the ads properly reward you. If you are anti- micro transactions, this game will let you keep up by watching ads, which I appreciate wholeheartedly. I do wish that the game would allow further progression (a higher car limit) in the place of location advancing. other than that, a great time consumer.
2 ★I first played this game back when Tiny Titan Studios first owned and developed it. I dropped it for a little while due to burn-out and getting bored. I pick it back up again only a week ago, find out its changed hands, but still a fun game. Exactly how I left it about a year ago. Suddenly, the new owners of the game drop what appeared to be an exciting, promising update. However, upon playing with the update, I've realized it was not as great as I thought, and led to uninstalling.
2 ★Probably the most infuriating notification system I have ever seen, and as far as I could tell I couldn't turn them off in-game. I gladly skipped the process of finding the settings in my phone to block the app from sending any, and went straight to uninstalling. A much faster way to solve the issue. Game is okay. Insulting notification design that spams you every minut detail about how close you are getting to the next stop, don't forget your daily, hey you got 1 more coin to collect.
4 ★As far as the game itself, Tiny Rails is a great example of how good a mobile game can be. Tiny Rails is a relaxing game that requires very little user interaction There are objectives, but they too are only loosely tied to your actual progress, really only there to increase your level to unlock more of the map. The biggest issue are the ads, 30-second full-screen ads that can't be skipped. Easily the biggest turn-off, as there doesn't appear to be any way to make a purchase to disable them.
4 ★Very cute pixel train game. Collectables, planning routes, secrets to find. The gameplay is simple, but challenging. It's very well rounded, and I've enjoyed playing so far. The one downside is how often ads for in-game purchases are shown. It's nice that purchases are mostly organized under one button, but the constant pop-ups are driving me up the wall. I don't need to see a reminder every two minutes when the shop is on the main screen. If the ads could be more considerate, I'll add a star.
5 ★Very fun to pass time with. With seasonal events, missions, a bit of story, and more, there is a lot to do and spend a lot of time. There are a lot of in game purchases, but none of them are needed as the majority of the game is accessable for free. It is very simplistic, which I love, but expands a lot to give you lots of goals and customization. The art style is also amazing. The pixel art gives a classic feel, but the color choices and detail makes an amazing look with great backgrounds.
