A Radio Paixão FM era um sonho antigo de Dorival Corulle, um técnico em eletrônica conhecido popularmente por “Paixão” nas suas engenhocas certo dia bolou um mini-transmissor e então o fascínio pela radiodifusão foi eminente.Dorival Corulle buscou os meios legais para se abrir uma emissora FM e percebeu que uma radio comercial na pequena Pardinho era inviável pelo alto custo, então criou uma diretoria de associação de radio comunitária e protocolou junto ao Ministério das Comunicações.
Quando foi aprovado o pedido a Radio Paixão FM entrou no ar em Pardinho na freqüência 99,9 Mhz, porém o projeto teria também que ser homologado pelo Ministro e os transtornos pela possível ilegalidade foram inevitáveis.
Hoje a Radio Paixão FM opera em 87,9 Mhz e foi pioneira no Estado, sendo a primeira a ser aprovada e homologada pelo então Ministro das Comunicações Miro Teixeira.
Para Pardinho a Paixão FM foi uma realidade histórica, com uma programação eclética e de bom gosto não fica devendo nada a outras emissoras de maior porte, toca aquilo que o ouvinte quer escutar, os programas apresentados ao vivo revela talentos da musica sertaneja, os programas sociais do governo e educativo das escolas são amplamente divulgados.
A programação da Paixão FM é totalmente informatizada, as noticias são on-line pela internet e os locutores são pessoas da própria cidade.
