1 ★The new update does not have homescreen shortcuts among other among other multiple blunders like removing the ability to add quick note from notification drawer. They've severely handicapped this app. Even though I paid for premium, I'm switching to new note-taking app for now and wait to see if they undo the update or allow use of a previous version. What a disappointment.
2 ★4-5 stars before update. Extremely disappointed and frustrated by the removal of the widget from an Android home screen. That was my primary feature used to open and view notes. I would prefer for that to be put back in, otherwise I will be looking for a new note application like it appears many other Evernote users are beginning to.
1 ★The app was perfect but this update is just terrible. The widget to quickly add notes now just opens the app which takes way too long to open and requires a password each time. The UI which was perfect was also changed, why change something if it's already pretty good. Just undo the latest update and then this will become a 5 star review.
1 ★The app just auto-updated, and now there are a lot of issues. The app now ignores my Android regional format settings and forces American formats instead of using British formats with 24-hour clock enabled, just like with the YouTube app. The 'note list' widget is also missing and I'm left with 'Problem loading widget' in Nova Launcher. There should also be better external keyboard support, and some UI space-saving options for smaller displays.
1 ★Terrible update. WAS the best note app. Now it's appalling. At least give us the option of using a previous version. If not, I need to find a way to copy all my notes into a different app. Why have you taken away the widget with previous notes? Why doesn't the screen stay on when I'm looking at my note? Why is the title of notes now in huge font? How did you come to the conclusion that this iteration was more useful?
3 ★dear devs. your latest update introduced a few annoyances: 1. please open external links in the android-wide browser like before. your internal browser lacks too much. just let me decide. 2. it always starts in the "all notes" and always re-updates over net. on my large backlog it takes several minutes before I can do anything. either move update to background or let user choose initial view. 3. your new editor screws check-item-lists converting them to to-do lists. where is your bug tracker?
1 ★With new updates is worst, before when I took photos the documents would be recognised in maybe 1 second and it was much more precise, now it takes much more and is not precise at all and if I try to cut it how I want it just uses the normal photo mode. That's maybe the feature I used the the most on smartphone and now is useless for me. Also in general the app is so much slower and that makes it almost unusuable
1 ★2/24/21 Nice update Evernote! I say that with as much sarcasm as possible. It's useless right now. Notebooks won't load; I can't move saved items; I can't save new items. I have a subscription; I can't believe that I pay for this poor quality. This happens every time that you "improve" your product.🤬 Fix your product Evernote.Get your act together.
1 ★Ever since the last update this app completely sucks. I have used it for years and enjoyed it up until the last update. Now it has become super slow on opening my saved notes. Also random freezes resulting in having to force shut it down. Disappointed. Hopefully they can fix it with the next update.
4 ★The search issue has been resolved. Thanks, Evernote. In the latest release, I don't love the user interface. Could be a personal preference. I don't like love the aesthetics of the circular password buttons or the squared off "new note" button. I preferred the old app UI.
5 ★Love the convenience this app gives. I can sync on 2 devices for free and thats all I need. Its just like a file cabinet! I was intimidated by it, but after a free class at a Family History Fair at my church with a lady who explained the basics, I was down! If you understand what a filing cabinet is for and how it works, each notebook is a file in your cabinet. You can keep adding new notes to the notebooks(folders) you create. You can create tons of notebooks. I have had no tech problems with
1 ★The new update is awful. No more dark widgets, so looks terrible on a dark mode phone. The bar widget is now too short, and has a pointless heading making it too thick. Looks awkward as hell now. They don't even have the "recent notes" widget anymore. It's now also glitchy and blinds me with white flahes when I try to swipe back. Things just don't work as they used to, the glitches are so annoying. Give me back the old version.
