4 ★The game is designed really well. It makes you think and hunt for items, but when you resort to paying money for clues, it is disappointing that each clue can cost five stars... Some of the puzzles that I encountered certainly did not feel like a Beginning level.
1 ★I only played one game Mirror Man & I loved the storyline & graphics but because of the high price of hints just to play through one game totally killed my interests to even want to start a new series... there should definitely be more perks or offer packages for the amount of different story games available but it was fun while it lasted. Just a heads up for future players there's a ton of similar games for free or that offer packages for a fraction of what this game offers
3 ★I've been a fan of Haiku for a long time&have played most of their older games as well. I find they puzzles to be just the right side of challenging. Their games are always a good time killer BUT I hate the key system. It takes way too long for the keys to regenerate&you can only hold 2 keys. This is about an hour's worth of gameplay for me. I don't play the game consistently bcuz I refuse to set an alarm every 3 hrs so that I can play the next chapter. Their older games didn't have the keys.
5 ★I've been a big fan of the Detective Gray series since the Kongregate days so it's really nice to see they're adding new ones! I love her no-nonsense attitude. They just introduced early access which gives you a two new games and no key timer for less than $10, which is absolutely worth it. I also l love the fantasy ones and I hope more of those get sequels! There's a good mix of difficulty levels among the puzzles and many different story genres.
5 ★I've been playing these games for 4 years now. I've played all the games multiple times, and it never gets old. I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE PUTS ON HERE. THESE ARE THE BEST GAMES EVER!!! They all have good story plots, and the games are filled with challenging activities. They give you two keys, and you can purchase more to continue playing or wait the two hrs for your free keys. I barely see ads. You can pay for early access to the newer games or wait till they come out FREE. Worth my support and $
5 ★I play a lot of these type of adventure puzzle games. Graphics were solid. Animation less than other similar styled games. Puzzles where detailed and required attention and memory. Story helped moved the game along. But the "logic" with parts of story and puzzles ...a little off. I thought that some steps in a few puzzles were repetitive. But, regardless , overall fun and engaging.
5 ★Enjoy all the little puzzle series, especially the Detective Kate ones. I also really loved Clue when it was available. And instead of losing energy, you just lose keys and have to wait 2 hours for a new one, which I think isn't too bad. The only downside is having to wait for a new one to come out cause I already played all the others, lol.
5 ★I've come to really like this app. There are so many different stories you can play, and the storyline for them is cool. It's like an adventure/escape room wrapped into one. I also like the puzzles you have to solve in order to move on. It's a good brain exercise that helps with cognitive functioning and is fun. So if you want to "escape" from the world for a little bit, play these!! 😉
5 ★For a free game, this is exceptional! There are a few glitches, but not enough to be too annoying. There are plenty of opportunities to pick up stars for hint credits, and the chapters are long enough to make the refill time on the keys worth it. There's also a ton of content, and most of it has engaging stories. The puzzle types do repeat throughout the games, but there's always a twist to keep it fresh. The ads aren't intrusive, and appear only once per chapter, which is reasonable.
4 ★Just finished first Trapmaker story. Very much enjoyed it and will be playing the additional chapters. The only small issues were one, maybe two, of the dozens of puzzles was not quite as intuitive as could be, a couple times, the sensitivity of the screen tapping to interact was problematic, and after solving DNA puzzle, it did not clear and had to quit game and resolve. None of these were Gamebreaking, and while causing annoyance, said annoyance was no more then just being stuck would be
2 ★WHY DO games like this require keys to play on? One key every 3 hours. One key unlocks 1 chapter of 1 story Why can't I just play the damn game?? So annoying! Some of the puzzles are ridiculously difficult. I've quit a couple of the games just because I'm stuck on the harder puzzles. Hints cost 5 or 10 stars each. You MAYBE get 3-5 stars per game. Between the ridiculous puzzles, and the lack of stars for hints, it's a good thing there are walkthroughs online.
4 ★Really enjoyed this game - having multiple stories all in one app is fantastic! I really hope they eventually add their other stories to it, just for ease of playing, not having to download separate apps, etc. Only 4 stars for a couple reasons: certain puzzles/next moves were completely non-intuitive, even once I found out the answer. And replaying old completed stories doesn't gain any more stars, which was annoying. But overall I really enjoyed it!!
