VGBAnext runs games written for GBA, GBC, GB, NES, Famicom, DiskSystem, and VS System gaming consoles. It also emulates many addons, such as tilt sensors, light guns, vibration packs, printers, and more. VGBAnext is specifically opimized for Android devices. It lets you save game progress at any moment, or even rewind gameplay back in time. You can exchange saved game states with other users, or play together by using the network play. VGBAnext supports AndroidTV, GoogleTV, and a variety of gamepads, including Xperia Play, Moga, iCade, Sixaxis, Nyko PlayPad, and others.* Supports full screen landscape and portrait modes, with many special effect options and customizable skin.

1 ★If you plan on using this on nvidia shield I don't recommend it at all. The performance is laggy compared to other emulators which doesn't make sense since the hardware is there. Key mapping on shield controller doesn't work at all. You can assign keys but it will carry on using the default setup.You can forget key mapping quick save and quick load using the controller. I can't recall 100% if that's the case but I am not sure I saw a cheat input method. GBA.emu is the way to go for nvidia shield
2 ★The game automatically close when i tried to open a roms i hope this can be fixed asap because i want to play badly
5 ★it was working until this new update and now no buttons in the game work and all save data was deleted edit to response: all final fantasy games for the gba and fire emblem (the one with lynn and eliwood) edit 2 to attempt to assist in bug fix: it appears the entire screen is a button but im not sure which button it is acting as. moto z force 2 is my phone edit 3: it works once again thank you!!
2 ★the cheatopedia made it somewhat convenient to use over other gba emulators. but the hack to make it work with 6.0+ isn't very good. the dev should make it a plugin instead of a folder. also this app lacks the link features that can be found in "myboy". like linking over Bluetooth and between 2 games on the same device. at the very least the dev should add joybus support so it can be used as a gba controler for dolpin to play games like FF: crystal Chronicles.
2 ★More expensive then other Emulator, on the bright side yes it capable to run GBA, GBC & NES rom etc. But what's the point of it can't even runs old GBA games in 60 frame while others can. The setting etc are impressive with lots of option and configuration etc. But not an emulator for average Joe, sorta more towards the Tech Savy bunch, as normal users will find it confusing. (Apparently Dev doesn't take critics well. But again as I said how would an average Joe knows which setting to twig?)
5 ★This is the only gb/gba emulator i will use. You can customize this emulator like no-other gb/gba emulator on the play store, never had a single freeze or glitch. this really is the best gb and gba emulator on the market. The only reason why the rating is lower than other gb/gba emulators on the play store is because people are dumb. Worth every penny, the devoloper made an amazing app. Thank you.
4 ★It's a really good Emulator, I've spent a good amount of time playing with it and it's settings. Although, I have some performance issues, but that could be that my phone just doesn't have all the resources needed. Just some minor frame drops here and there. LG K20V here.
3 ★Was one of the best emulators I have used. Starting to seem more like wasted money. Issues - no easy Cheats on top bar, no Dark mode. Adding cheats is worse then playing the game. Device issues- OnePlus 7Pro. Virtual keys are broken and realign after saving (specifically select, start) which when placed in middle landscape they separate. Dropped to 3 stars because adding cheats is worse then using a real GameShark.
2 ★Doesn't work well on nVidia Shield! Interface is made for phone even though this is supposed to be an AndroidTV compatible app. Can't save button configs unless I use a USB mouse to click "done". Can't map select button on USB gamepad because the emulator treats it as the "back" button. When I load the game, I can't load settings using the button combo at all; so I can never access emulation settings to change the video mode. It's like they've never tested this on a real AndroidTV device.
5 ★I've tested out a few gb emulators and this has become my favorite. It's got accurate emulation and lots of options. I really like that you can move the buttons around too. I've been having a blast playing final fantasy legend 2 on it lately.
4 ★Okay I love this app but why don't ANY of the nes classic gba roms work???!!! I'm trying ever version of LoZ and Castlevania because they're 2 of my favorites and each time all I get is a black game screen (still with controls up and the layout) with scratching ticking noises or the same thing but instead of black screen it says "error turn off game pak" :( hlp plz
5 ★STILL THE BEST GBA EMU AROUND! Had a little problem on reactivating the cheat feature by putting the necessary files in the right folder. Dev was quick to respond that gave resolution to fix my issue. People who rates this app lower than 3 just because of cheat feature being removed, a few minutes of READING will let them know how to reactivate it. Cheers for the best gba emu around!
