2 ★Game is fun and would deserve higher stars, but it constantly looses connections and forces you to exit and restart. It usually happens while opening a portal, which causes you to loose those crystals. Fix the connect issue and I'll rerate!
3 ★Great game when it works and not constantly freezing. Has been messing up even more since the start of the mechzora event. Game is currently unplayable for me . Reinstalled it and still same problems.
1 ★The games network connection cut out for no reason while I was summoning at the portal and I lost my crystals. This happened twice I'm on a stable wifi connection! This happened 3 times now. Uninstalling.
1 ★Game crashed, re-download and it crashed again. Seems like once it works it could be a cool game, but the game won't let me get that far.
3 ★I really want to love I Am Monster, and the game's copious amount of flaws don't quite get to the point where I want to quit playing...but they do make the game frustrating at times. Firstly and most importantly, this is a *gorgeous* game, full of vibrance and character. Pik Pok did an amazing job with their visuals and character designs and it's a delight to watch...when it's running well. Since it looks pretty, it's obviously not going to run well on older devices. I can hardly blame Pik Pok for this, but I absolutely will blame them for the frequent bugs that range from harmless to game-breaking, and for the fact that now that I *have* a new phone that can run it better...I can't actually transfer my save data. That's right, there is no way to backup your save data, so you're always one disaster away from losing hours of your life and whatever money you've sunk into the game. This is, honestly, the most galling thing about the game, and they said they're going to fix it by adding some sort of save game transfer option. But they get no credit from me until they actually do it, and even then it's something that really should have been there from the start.
3 ★Good app but few problems. I do not get the option to watch adverts anymore meaning I miss out on a lot of free goodies and every so often after opening the app the game freezes and I don't get to collect the energy that has been accumulated. Very frustrating. Other than that the game is pretty fun and the destruction is nice. Keep the updates coming. Will rerate if things are fixed.
3 ★I think they have a hit on their hands, but due to the early release there are several... quirks let's say? They have a lot of coming soon, but very little to show for it just yet. I do hope they get a more detailed and bug free game before King of the Monsters comes out in theaters and the Kaiju crazy hits. Currently there is random freezing when your about to go to the next city. The freezing but started with the latest monster added.
2 ★This game has an interesting concept and great graphics. However it has 2 major faults. Firstly, offline time does not push you past defeated bosses. i find it a hassle to rebattle from floor 1 all the way back up. Next. much of the game forces you to either purchase a monthly subscription or turns you into an ad-viewing machine. that sucks out the remaining fun in the game.
2 ★I wish the first thing that came to mind about this game was "Looks well made", because it is. Unfortunately the first thing that comes to mind is "quickly becomes boring". The monetization aspect is aggressive in that to receive that a bonus, you have to subsribe to a $9.99/month fee. This and that every crystal package is wildly overpriced leads to slow gameplay. Otherwise this would be a 5 star game, but they've given into the trend of micro transactions that aren't micro.
2 ★The game has no substance to it. There is no objective and no end game. You do not control the characters they walk around aimlessly destroying whatever. There is very little you can do as far as playing a game is concerned. You can upgrade the character attributes, watch ads or open boxes for free stuff to help you upgrade, and summon more items to help upgrade or new characters through a portal. This game is extremely repetitive and boring. The character design style is good though.
2 ★Awesome presentation, awesome monster designs/animations. There's so much personality in them and the gameplay design is mostly solid. The execution...not so much. This game is VERY buggy. Monsters will disappear from your UI during boss fights, parts of the ui will get stuck on your screen, the monster will stop moving and just walk in place. It's really hard to run the game for more than 10-15 minutes without having to restart because of a game-breaking bug. Which is extra unfortunate because the only way to progress in this game is leaving it open. Unlike other idle games, you need to have this game actually open A LOT if you want to progress. It would be really nice if you could move through the zones with the game closed instead of just gathering energy. You also can't transfer or backup your data. Which is...pretty unforgivable in this day and age. I haven't found ANY other games that don't have an option of creating an account or cloud backup for your progress.
3 ★It would be perfect if wasn't this annoying bug that every energy that I get when I am out of the game just vanish when I try to update the monsters. That's sad, because I've earned 800 energy this night and I lost everything. Also the free gift package takes more than 3h because items broken too. I just got a notification that it was ready abs when I enter the game was 3h again. Edit: waited for more 3h and guess what? Nothing about the free gift, just that I need to wait more 3h.
