Description
Lovecraft Quest is a сomics style game inspired by the works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft - a recognized master of the horror genre. You have to avoid traps, solve puzzles and react very fast fleeing from Lovecraftian horrors which fill the labyrinth of the Temple of Nameless Cults.You’ll meet the lord of the Deep Ones - Dagon, the servant of the Ancients - Shoggoth and, perhaps, Cthulhu himself! The plot twists, life and common sense of the main character depend completely on your decisions.
🐙 A UNIQUE COMICS STYLE
Imagine that you are reading exciting colorful comics. Yet, unlike typical comics, there are a lot of interactive elements in the game - puzzles, alternative endings and inbuilt mini-games. Every scene is drawn by hand with great attention to details and respect to H.P. Lovecraft's works in order to convey the original style of his stories in the best possible way. Minimalistic interface, also in comics style, lets you dive into mysterious atmosphere of ancient dungeons and fully enjoy the story told in the game.

After a shipwreck you find yourself on an island, lost in the endless ocean. The only passage from the bay where you came to your senses, looks extremely ancient and full of hidden threat. This is an entrance to the dungeons of the Temple of Nameless Cults. What terrible secrets and beasts are hidden in the labyrinths of this Temple and where careless curiosity can lead - you are to find it all in a captivating comics story.
🐙 AMAZING MINI-GAMES
In Lovecraft Quest there are both classic puzzles in style of the good old 2D point-and-click quests and reaction mini-games. Real adrenaline rush is waiting for you in the dynamic scenes where you should decide quickly and choose the appropriate variant of your actions. For example, when you meet one of the beasts dwelling in the dungeons of the Temple, you may try to escape it, choosing the correct door in limited time.
🐙 MULTIPLE ENDINGS
The game includes 6 different ending variants. In best Lovecraft's traditions almost all of them are this or that variant of the main character's death. Be careful with your decisions as the Temple of Nameless Cults is full of deathly traps! Each careless step may become the last one. Still, you can try to find out all the variants of your hero's doom - everything is in your hands!
🐙 RANDOM ELEMENT
To make your game experience unique, Lovecraft Quest widely uses random events and procedural generation - while creating labyrinths, for example.
🐙 COLLECTION OBJECTS
In some rooms of the Temple you may find artifacts - things from the Lovecraft's stories, such as Necronomicon, a legendary book written by a crazy alchemist and necromancer Abdul Alhazred. This book describes the story of the Ancients - extremely powerful creatures, dwelling beyond the borders of our dimension - and the magical rituals that can invoke them. The legend tells that the original book was irretrievably lost, and that the last of the remaining copies is kept in the library of Miskatonic University, located in the town of Arkham. You may try to find all artifacts and to learn the story of the each.

3 ★As the optional "tell us more" questions it asks "is this game challenging?" and i put "not sure" as its actually mostly just random based. I Love the artwork, the simpler yet fun take on a classic story, and even the choice gameplay is fun. Its just that there is No indication for Anything, no timing based or answer flash tap, no ideas or hint of how to beat minigames. I know its Cthulu and they may have wanted the randomly hard difficulty to show that but comes off less fun than challenging.
5 ★Anyone saying this game is luck based I think they never found the map which is essential to navigate the dungeon(s). Albeit the game is very short (got all the endings in an hour or so) it was very fun and refreshing.I sincerely hope they make a sequel with different entities hiding in the dungeon with their own rules in a different setting.It is possible that a room might have 2 pits adjacent to it so that is kind of frustrating.But I gotta say the secret ending caught me off guard, well done.
3 ★I really like the concept, music, and art, but this is mostly random luck if your next step is instant death/start over. I got bored of it after 30 minutes of restarting and watching commercials. If this is later expanded to not just 90% luck and instant death, I will play again. For now i am uninstalling.
3 ★It's alright. Cool if you're into Lovecraft and want quick achievements. It doesn't take long to get everything though. It would be cool if it handled Lovecraft's monster in a more menacing sense. Maybe focus on a particular Old One and make it episodic. I believe it would keep people coming back. The art in the game is well done. I see this as a base for the developer to make better comic style adventures in the future. I will keep an eye out if that happens.
5 ★The game uses minesweeper mechanics in a fun way, art is also good. Final puzzle managed to cause me some trouble, but you'll stumble on the solution eventually. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard labyrinth that yearns for more interaction, more objects, more randomness, more insanity (?) It will keep you busy for an hour or less.
1 ★Mazes with maps, traps, fleeing and shooting are amazing. More of that along with some great story events and perhaps some more gameplay/maze ideas would have been fantastic. Unfortunately maze part is too shallow to make you wanna keep playing and you'll repeat the same old puzzles which just get in the way. "Story" severely lacking - after beating a puzzle (last one) it'll abruptly end with a brief mention that a monster kills all of humanity; game over. Just bland filler, really.
2 ★I really wanted to like this game but I think I'm missing something? The idea and graphics are cool, but it seems to be a randomised maze of death traps. You can't even learn from your mistakes as when you restart the maze is reset. So basically you die repeatedly. Edit: ok found a map, but it moves so often you die first. The map is often wrong about where the dangers are, being a room out. The levers puzzle is beyond frustrating and involves clicking until you luck upon the solution.
2 ★"Fall down a hole" simulation... Now with ads for added insult to injury. Seriously, the whole thing is randomized so that they're playthrough is different. Which would normally be good, but once you tap a room, you're committed to entering it and the only way to know that you might die is a draft in the room you're in... Which doesn't tell you which of the 2-3 possible paths is about to kill you. Fun game, but this mechanic is stupid and really kills the immersion after a few repeated deaths.
5 ★the game truly is phenomenal, the graphics, the storyline, puzzles and multiple endings (i have yet to find the last one) being a huge Lovecraft and Cthulhu fan this game was an incredible experience a mix of intense rpg elements and unknown dungeon exploring its a great game requires no internet connection no in app purchases multiple achievements all in all anyone who is an HP lovecraft fan would love this game. eager for new content in the future keep up the awesome work
5 ★Truly one of the undiscovered gems in the Play Store. It's short, the main game was easy enough after you figured out the trick, and there are plenty challenging puzzles which aren't forced unlike many other games from this genre. Very fantastic for a free game, would definitely pay for a longer version.
5 ★Beautiful comic book graphics! I love the "Lovecraft explains" dialogs... especially when clicking to exit 😆 The first 2 dungeons are a kind of "minesweeper" puzzle with rooms instead of squares, a non linear map & diverse mortal dangers that are randomly placed. Some you must avoid, others you should confront... 🙈 Then you reach the 3rd level and the final showdown... DUN DUN DUUUNNNNN!!!
5 ★for the success of a game *one must follow the trend or *one must do some thing off menu* ! . this game is a good representation of what was a great board game once. this game does some thing weird that paysoff in a unique experience. indeed ! is worth spending some quality time for better narrative experience.
