هنگامه در لاهیجان-ایران متولد شد.او به همراه خانواده و خواهر بزرگترش از سه سالگی به تهران آمدند.از همان دوران کودکی او هیجان و شوق زیادی در خوانندگی و نمایش داشت که پدرش اولین کسی بود که این شوق و هیجان را آشکار کرد. عشق بی پایان و حمایت پدرش سبب تقویت مراحل اولیه ی زندگی هنگامه به صورت نسبتا آشکاری شد و او را برای شرکت در کلاس های موسیقی به همراه تعدادی از استادان موسیقی کلاسیک فارسی تشویق کرد. مهارت او در نواختن نی و فلوت سبب شد تا پدرش برای یادگیری مدهای موسیقی کلاسیک فارسی "ردیف" اعتقاد پیدا کند و شالوده ی علمی او به صورت موثری پیشرفت کند همانند خودش که به این سبک موسیقی بسیار علاقه مند و باسواد است .هنگامه از حمایت خانواده و دوستانش ،همانطور که بزرگ می شد ،لذت می برد. او در سراسر دوران تحصیلی اش درتعداد متعددی مسابقات ناحه ای و محلی شرکت کرد و همیشه در زمره ی بی نظیران بود .او همواره بعد از پایان تحصیلش آرزو داشت خواننده ای حرفه ای شود، اما این آرزو بعد از تغییرات تحمیل شده توسط دولت جمهوری اسلامی نمی توانست به حقیقت بپیوندد. محبوبیت آنها در حال حاضر فراتر از وانکوور توسعه پیدا کرده است و جمعیت ایرانی بسیاری در لس آنجلس به صورت ناگهانی به استعداد و ذوق آن ها علاقه مند شدند. با فرصت های پیش روی در سرزمین لس آنجلس، هر یک از سه خواننده شروع به دنبال کردن زندگی شخصی خود شدند . با این وجود هنگامه ، با بسیاری از تولید کنندگان در تماس بود .
