Sattar (Persian: ستار), born in 1949 in Tehran, Iran, is an Iranian singer.
He debuted at the age of 22 singing the soundtrack of the TV series, "Morad Barghi", with the song "Khaneh bedoush". He very quickly becomes a star for Iranian youth and connects hits like "Hamsafar", "Shazdeh Khanoum", "Assal", "Goleh Sang", "Sedayeh Baroon".
Very quickly he also began to interpret traditional Persian music.
In 1978 he toured the United States. The 1979 revolution in Iran forced him to stay in America for good.
Since living in Los Angeles, Sattar continues to sing for the Iranian diaspora all over the world. He recorded there hits such as: "Goleh Pooneh", "Ahoo", "Ashegheh Khejalati", "Ey kaash", "Sar Sepodeh" [archive] "Khaki", "Yeganegi" [archive], etc.
Sattar now has more than 200 songs in his repertoire.
