Pengasuh PP Harun Assyafi’i, Pesantren Harun Asy-Syafi’i saat ini diasuh oleh KH. Moh. Ulin Nuha. Beliau dilahirkan di Kota Kudus, tanggal 19 September 1976. Di tanah kelahirannya, beliau memulai dalam menuntut ilmu Al-Qur’an dan cabang ilmu keagamaan lainnya.Selanjutnya beliau pindah ke Wonosobo untuk lebih memperdalam ilmu Al-Qur’annya. Pada tahun 1999, beliau mendapat panggilan beasiswa untuk belajar di Kota Nabi, Madinah Saudi Arabia.
Untuk lebih menguatkan kemampuannya di bidang Al-Qur’an beliau mengambil Fakultas Al-Qur’an.
Di Kota Madinah ini, beliau tidak menyia-nyiakan kesempatan untuk mengeruk ilmu dari para ulama di Masjid Nabawi. Beliau mendatangi Syaikh Sayyid Lasyin yang merupakan pengajar Al-Qur’an Masjid Nabawi. Di bawah asuhan Syaikh Sayyid Lasyin inilah beliau mendapatkan sanad Al-Qur’an riwayat Hafsh dan Syu’bah.
