Metal Ranger is a 2D shooter with a nostalgic feel of the 1980s sci-fi action movies and games.You are playing as a ranger wearing powerful steel armor.
Your enemies are giant alien mutant insects.

3 ★A good looking game with simple but repetitive gameplay. I like the Master Chief meets bugs from Starship Troopers look but the sound design leaves something to be desired; the only sfx you get is from the weapons firing; the enemies, main character, and surroundings don't make any kind of noise whatsoever. If they swapped out the music with some ambient eerie sfx like footsteps, background noises and creepy monster sounds it'd really make the game a lot more interesting.
4 ★Despite being a mobile game, the models are well made and the animations are very smooth. Completely caught me by surprise by the superb business model this company has while making the game. New enemies will be introduced, no flashy entrances or information about them. They'll just appear and you'll have to watch out for them. Overall, great game and would recommend. Controls are a bit weird but hey, it's a mobile game.
4 ★The game is pretty well made, the enemy AI, the weapons, and the diversity between the weapons. The only problem is there's no ammo scarcity, it has no reloading in which makes it more easy, I suggest on making a reload animations and ammo crates and when your ammo runs out you'll immediately switch to a pistol which has infinite ammo. I know I'm asking too much but I think it's too easy
4 ★The Graphics and level designs are very good for a mobile game. While nothing too spectacular or distinctive, it yields no shortages of surprises, a punishing death can await the less observative players, the weapons themselves vary quite differently, but the Grenade launcher should have an extra range buff and the smoke should go away faster to avoid being blinded to threats which are still alive in the smoke. Along with that, the shield should be recharging faster, not take around 15-25 secs.
5 ★When I saw the App Icon for this game, I already knew it was going to be good. However, I didn't think it would be THIS good. The gameplay is so smooth and animations are fluid, controls are very simple and easy to use yet quite in depth. The fact that you can aim and choose when to fire as well makes the experience way more immersive. To top it all off, there isn't any spam of ads too? Am I dreaming? Absolutely fantastic game.
5 ★(Note from 2022 with a new phone, the gameplay doesn't save you will still have your purchases kept, but all the maps and gear you have unlocked will not be kept.) Great game, with alot of action with excellent music and beautiful maps not by the bland buildings themselves but by the lighting and outside you get to see. Its just excellent overall
3 ★Really interesting. With some improvements this game could genuinely be good. Its too bland as it is. Its just walk and shoot, and the enemies aren't vicious and lack in variety. There needs to be more features, like being able to jump and crouch, kick enemies and roll backwards to avoid getting hit. Guns could use a rework sound and look wise but they are cool, reloading as well. Atmosphere is really amazing, but the flashlight feels useless, there needs to be dark areas. High potential game.
4 ★Enjoyable shooter, but I can't seem to be able to buy the full version. I was asked only once when I first went into the game, and as I hadn't even played it I said no, but the message won't come up again. I purchased coins and bought weapons, thus getting rid of the ads, but no option for the full game. I uninstalled thinking the message would return but I lost all my purchases instead! Still, the game is decent.
4 ★This game has a great foundation, but it really lacks some gameplay elements. Some more mechanics should be added imo, maybe ranged enemy attacks, improved moveset for the player, some sort of basic cover system to defend against above-mentioned ranged enemies, maybe an option for melee? It'd also be awesome if darkness was used more, since the flashlight's lightning is great
5 ★The best simple game on android. I really underestimated this game when I saw the screenshots here but I just had to give this a rating after I played it. This game is so amazing and addictive and the graphics are simple but the lighting effects are just amazing. It never bores you and never begs for your money. You have the option to watch an ad to unlock a superior gun for one time use and it is worth appreciating. Must play!
