Java Jive adalah grup band Indonesia yang didirikan di Bandung, Jawa Barat dengan digawangi oleh Capung, Noey, Tony, Edwin, Fatur, dan Danny. Grup band ini dibentuk pada tahun 1993.Awalnya, grup band asal Bandung ini dibentuk pada tahun 1989 oleh oleh sekelompok anak muda yang duduk di bangku SMA Negeri 2 Bandung. Edwin Saleh (dram) dan Noey (bas) sepakat membentuk grup band dengan nama Java Jive yang diambil dari salah satu judul lagu kelompok vokal Manhattan Transfer. Setelah beberapa lama mencoba, Java Jive pun membentuk formasi lengkap dengan masuknya Micko (gitar), Tony (kibor), Fatur (perkusi/vokal), Danny (vokal) dan Neta (vokal). Sayang, pada tahun 1991, Neta, satu-satunya perempuan dalam Java Jive keluar, diikuti oleh Micko yang akhirnya bergabung dengan Protonema. Posisi Micko pun diganti oleh Capung.
Formasi inilah yang akhirnya membawa Java Jive mendapat kontrak pertama dari Musica Studio's pada tahun 1993, dan solid hingga sekarang. Lagu "Kau Yang Terindah" dari album pertama mereka langsung melejitkan nama Java Jive.
Vakum setelah sembilan tahun tak merilis album (walau pada 2006 sempat reunian di album the best yang diberi judul '1993-2006), Java Jive merilis Stay Gold dengan hit single "Hilang" pada Juli 2008. Salah satu alasan mereka vakum adalah karena Danny menderita ketergantungan dengan obat-obatan terlarang.
Vakum selama empat tahun tak membuat Java Jive patah berkibar. Pada tahun 2012, grup musik asal Bandung ini merilis single lagu berjudul Teman Sehati sebagai pertanda 20 tahun Java Jive berkibar di dunia musik. Pada Bulan Agustus 2012 Java Jive mengeluarkan single religi "Hidup Ini Indah". Dan pada bulan April 2013 mereka merilis single "Jujur" yang merupakan lagu recycle yang sebelumnya dibawakan oleh almarhum Bram Moersas.
Pada akhirnya pada 31 Agustus 2013, album kedelapan yang berjudul Java Jive 20 Teman Sehati dirilis.
