Description
Surah Al-Qariah adalah surah ke-101 dalam Al-Qur'an. Surah ini terdiri atas 11 ayat, termasuk golongan surah-surah Makkiyyah, diturunkan sesudah surah Quraisy. Nama Al-Qari'ah diambil dari kata Al-Qari'ah yang terdapat pada ayat pertama, artinya mengebrak atau menguncang, kemudian kata ini dipakai untuk nama hari kiamat.Pokok isi surah ini adalah kejadian-kejadian pada hari kiamat, yaitu manusia bertebaran, gunung berhamburan, amal perbuatan manusia ditimbang dan ancaman Neraka Hawiyah.

ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ (١) مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ (٢) وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ (٣) يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ ڪَٱلۡفَرَاشِ
ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ (٤) وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ ڪَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ (٥) فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٲزِينُهُ ۥ (٦) فَهُوَ فِى
(عِيشَةٍ۬ رَّاضِيَةٍ۬ (٧) وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٲزِينُهُ ۥ (٨) فَأُمُّهُ ۥ هَاوِيَةٌ۬ (٩) وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ (١٠

Artinya :
"Hari Kiamat, (1) apakah hari Kiamat itu? (2) Tahukah kamu apakah hari Kiamat itu? (3) Pada hari itu manusia seperti kupu-kupu yang bertebaran, (4) dan gunung-gunung seperti bulu yang dihambur-hamburkan. (5) Dan adapun orang-orang yang berat timbangan [kebaikan]nya, (6) maka dia berada dalam kehidupan yang memuaskan. (7) Dan adapun orang-orang yang ringan timbangan [kebaikan]nya, (8) maka tempat kembalinya adalah neraka Hawiyah. (9) Dan tahukah kamu apakah neraka Hawiyah itu? (10) [Yaitu] api yang sangat panas. (11)"
