Abid Ghoffar bin Aboe Dja'far or better known as Ebiet G. Ade (born in Wanadadi, Banjarnegara, Central Java, April 21, 1954, age 63) is an Indonesian singer and songwriter. Ebiet is known for his songs with the theme of nature and the sorrow of the outcast group. Through his songs that have ballad genre, early in his career, he photographed the atmosphere of Indonesian life in the late 1970s until now. Theme of the song is diverse, not only about love, there are also songs themed nature, social-politics, disaster, religious, family, etc. His musical touch had prompted renewal in the Indonesian pop music scene. All the songs he wrote himself, he never sang songs created by others, except the song from the Village Letters written by Oding Arnaldi and Sailing God's Blessings written together with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
