“The Charming Empire” is a dating simulation game set in the Taisho Roman era of Japanese history.
Each scenario is fully voiced, featuring the work of voice actors such as: Tetsuya Kakihara, Toshiki Masuda, Takuya Eguchi, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Kenjiro Tsuda and more.
Teikoku Kaleido’s detailed and gorgeous artwork is illustrated by Mitsuya Fuji, who currently creates artwork for other mobile games and CDs.
*Story
Our heroine, Amane Kosaka, was living a simple yet happy life in the countryside until one day she was suddenly taken away to live in the empire, summoned by her brother Soshi Amazaki -- the current ruler. Though she was unaware of the underlying circumstances, she finds herself brought to this lively and palpable central city.
Living in the immaculate royal palace, our heroine comes to learn that the empire might not be as joyful as it seems.
Her brother is no longer the gentle man she once knew...
A corrupt organization secretly runs things behind the scenes...
The heroine’s fate guides her down the path of love.

4 ★$6.50 for each character (16 chapters) was a bit more than I'm used to but since the art was gorgeous and they had good voice acting, I was happy to pay the price. I bought Soshi's route to try out the game first and I have to say aside from the CGs and such I'm actually somewhat disappointed. The story felt rushed and plot just kept jumping out of nowhere at times. Spoiler but the heroine is jealous of Soshi one second, wants to get closer to him in another and then tries to poison him then back to wanting to get closer to him again. Overall, I'm a sucker for the art and voice so I would recommend this (especially the character packages) but it didn't live up to my expectations for it.
5 ★I have this on my pc and now i finally get to play these games on my phone. Thanks so much! Please continue to make awesome games like these. Wish there was a version for my ps vita too.

3 ★Not my favorite. I found the storyline likeable but the heroine was immature. The men were predictable and the romance was lacking. I was pretty disappointed. I usually like d3 games as the characters are very well developed and the romance exciting. Not this time.
