How to install Fender Tone APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Fender Tone APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.fender.tone-v3.3.2-ApkClean.apk)

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

4 ★I bought my first guitar and amp when I was 17 years old in 1984. Things were much more difficult and expensive back in the day. I haven't played my guitars regularly for years (career, wife, house, family, etc). That is, until I bought the GT 100! I love this amp! I play guitar because I love it, not because I'm any good at it. This amp gives me the ability to sound like a lot of my favorite guitar players, even if I can't play like them. And, the app is mind-blowing!
1 ★Totally useless. Cannot connect with the GT40 since I bought the GT40 last January 2018. Tried several GT40 and Tone updates, different permutations on installation and setup, and even had Fender email support with suggestions up till October and still no connection. In the end, Fender support suggested that the GT40 may be defective and have it fixed to a repair facility possibly paying extra for quality control issue! Lots of time wasted. Doubtful if I'll ever upgrade to a GT100.
1 ★New UI is atrocious and broken. The interface for adjusting amp parameters might have been plain, but at least everything was on one screen. Good luck getting past adjusting gain volume and treble without accidentally adjusting your treble or switching from amp to effect display. Also the GTX 100 is literally the same as the GT 100. 149 dollars more for cosmetic differences.
5 ★Best value for the money out of all modeling software out there. They should separate the software from the amps and sell as a standalone app. The effects and amp models are just as good as Amplitude and the effects are very good and there are a lot! If you home record buy a cheap Fender modeling amp with stereo outputs and connect this to your DAW. You won't regret it.
3 ★The Android set-up sucks due to very little information from the Fender documentation. Some other reviewers have written how to make it work, so here is the step-by-step: 1- Turn the Amp on. Turn the Amp Wifi on and connect to your network (password entry is a bore, yes) 2- Turn the Amp Bluetooth on via Menu=> WiFi-Bluetooth => Bluetooth. Unpair any other device (same menu) and restart the Amp. 3- Turn the Android device on. Select the app from PlayStore and install it. 4- Turn the Android device LOCATION on. Leave the Bluetooth OFF. 5- Open the app, start by signing in. Then the app will scan for the Amp and (hopefully!) connect. Register the Amp (Serial # and model). This is working fine at the date of this review. The app itself is pretty rad, rather smartly built and nicely accessible as soon as the connection is figured out. Minus 2 stars for the worst connection sequence and worst doc.
1 ★First time using it and already running into problems due to the app. It says that it can't find my amp, even though the app is already connect to my amp via Bluetooth and my location is on. So I'm stuck on the second step of the getting started process. Which im on a page that has a "rescan" button but when I push it nothing happens. Very disappointed.
4 ★I will bump up my rating as I found the problem... after the upgrade of the firmware, I had to log out and back in on the Tone app. Once I did that, everything was good. Rating at 4 stars because you should document that as an issue.
1 ★New update does not work for Android (Galaxy S9) Buttons to log into Fener account just simply won't press. Trying to log into Facebook as a log-in just brings me to Fenders mobile site and doesn't register the app as having logged in. Fender, get it together please. Why on earth would you make such a release without properly testing it?? Please realize that some of us depend on our gear for our livelihood. You guys REALLY blew this one. Please fix immediately!!
1 ★Fender made a really nice practice amp Mustang micro. Unfortunately the app doesn't work. These days Fender will put their name on just about anything.
4 ★Pretty decent app, I am sure it will improve. Syncing is slow and doesn't always connect regularly. App is good with patience. Update: app works much better when you start amp first then load app on phone. If the app is already running in the background when you turn on the amp expect the app not to work and or sync correctly with amp.
3 ★**UPDATE from review below. DO NOT TURN ON BLUETOOTH. In Fenders Wisdom when they give you the "Childish instructions" to make sure your bluetooth is turned on. What they don't tell you - DO NOT CONNECT YOUR AMP VIA BLUETOOTH. Let the app do the work - The app will find the amp. Still not giving 5 stars - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FIRE HD10 Bluetooth is showing connected amp and phone (lg g6) I download the app and sign in. Scans for the amp and can't find it gives me the childish instructions on how to do it and shows a re-scan button. ALSO NOT AVAILABLE ON AMAZON FIRE HD 10.. States it is not compatible - I have the google playstore on my Fire HD10 - NO app available on amazon.
1 ★This app is the bane of my existance, you'd think that with a company worth hundereds of millions if not billions of dollars, they'd be able to make it at least half way smooth or decent in any way. This is not the case. This app alone has almost made me hate my mgt-100. If this app even worked half the time i would be fine with it. Thanks fender, i love your company and I've always loved your products, but this just sucks.
