This application will turn the screen on whenever a new song is played, while the screen is off. This is great for those who have spent a lot of time getting their all their Album covers set up.A good use of this app is for when you have your phone in a holder mounted in your car, playing music. The screen will come on and show the album art and possibly a spectrum graph (depending on your phones current support of these features). This app DOES NOT ADD THESE FEATURES TO YOUR PHONE.
It allows you to see the new song that just started playing and also allows you to quickly press the next button, if your phone has this feature. Thereby making it easy to skip songs your not in the mood to hear.
It has been built with a number of music players in mind.
If the phone has a proximity sensor (as most do) the screen will not turn on if the phone is in your pocket or has been placed face down on a table or such
