HomeBudget is an integrated expense tracker designed to help you track your expenses, income, bills-due and account balances. It offers support for budgeting and allows analysis of your expenses and income, including charts and graphs. Two key differentiating features of HomeBudget are:
1. Integrated set of features. The features within HomeBudget are well integrated such that a bill can become an expense (when you pay for it) and also adjust the account balance at the same time.
2. Family sync. HomeBudget includes Family Sync, an advanced feature that allows a group of devices within the household to exchange expense and income information, and work together within a single budget. Once setup, the devices sync with each other automatically over the air. Family Sync works across all features including Bills and Accounts. 1 ★Tried to import downloaded bank statements, followed all their directionsand methods, nothing worked. Sent them detailed explanation of the problemwith screenshots, they sent me back instructions to do exactly what I'djust told them I did. When I pointed that out, they never got back to me. Iguess they don't know how to fix this either.
4 ★Excellent but in reports please chance date format DD/MM/YYYY and add ₹ symbol in amount and one last thing please also add Fingerprint lock support.
2 ★Like the interface and features, but importing data causes the app to crash. Reseting the database also causes it to crash. Deleting a category should change any transactions to some default (like "Unknown") but instead seems to set the Subcategory to 0, which prevents the transaction from showing up altogether. Unfortunately I need to be able to trust the app with my data, and if it isn't reliable it is a problem. Great potential, but needs stability improvements.
5 ★I am using this app with my home PC as the primary device and two mobiles that sync with it. The system works beautifully for quick and easy day to day budgeting once you've completed the initial setup. It's versatile enough to provide the essentials to lite users, but has plenty of customisation for users who want to setup their own categories or upload their own icons and more. You can enter just the minimum information for each item or go as far as to include details such as account numbers and payee contact details. One of the best budgeting apps I've ever used with great developers who address issues promptly.
