2 ★The game has potential to be a cute virtual pet breeding simulator, except it's void of content, extremely buggy, and bursting with microtransactions. The main goal of the game is to raise your dot to adulthood, and then breed them with someone else's dot to receive a new and unique baby dot, which you can't do because nest items are scarce (or need to be bought), and new and unique traits are locked behind a paywall. The microtransactions are predatory, and the game offers little to do. Skip it

3 ★I decided to play with the new features for a bit before updating my review. They added a free nest as a 30 day login reward and as rewards for certain level ups. There are occasionally weekly quests with nests, but a few of them have required you to hatch something to get the nest, which doesn't feel great. The overheating seems to be a bit better. I can go through my friends list for more than a minute or two before my phone starts getting super warm.

4 ★[Edit]Any complaints I had have been fixed! The game is much more friendly and enjoyable [Original]The concept, the design, and the execution are all beautiful for the game. HOWEVER, the heavily paywalled nest (the main point of the game) feels predatory. Like a drug dealer where the first dose is free, hook em, then charge stupid amounts every other time. It's down right appalling. I'll fight for devs to get the pay they earned every day, but preying on people isn't the way to do it. Full stop.

3 ★Cute idea, but still needs optimization. There is now a way to earn free nests in game which is a significant improvement over having to pay 5$ for a new dot, but it does still have issues with draining battery incredibly quickly and heating your phone up a lot, even if you're playing on a fairly new/good phone on the lowest settings.

4 ★The game now offers ways to get new nests as you level up, as well as opportunities to essentially spend zero nests if you hatch a dot with a specific archetype on a Community Day. So, it is now a perfectly playable virtual pet game. It does drain a lot of battery. It also overheats my phone, and the AR has some issues, but I think this is the kind of game I actually want to continue playing.

4 ★So CUTE! You don't have to spend a lot of time playing to progress. 👍🏻 I usually just play 10 mins a couple times a day. Earning in game currency is easy & adds up quickly. 👍🏻 The option to gift other items and not just sundrops would be cool. I do think nests are a bit too expensive at $5 each BUT I greatly appreciate the added ways to get them cheaper with sales & now being able to earn them for FREE! This was a BIG game changer. 😊

1 ★Friends need to be able to be deleted from your friends list without deleting them from other Niantic game friends lists. I have at least a hand full of friends on my list who tried peridot for a few days when it came out and completely left it. Because of this I have a full friends list and can't get rid of inactive friends because they are active in Pokemon Go. Deleting one friend in an app SHOULD NOT delete the same friend in other apps they are active in.

4 ★Cute, but could use some improvements. I can only play very briefly because it overheats my phone and drains the battery because the camera is always on. The AR is also not very smooth. It's a good start, but I think it will take a little bit to get it where they want it. I'm glad they made it so you can get some free nests, as it really wasn't worth it at $5 a nest. They've also been steadily making other improvements. Give it a shot!

4 ★Now that Niantic has added ways to earn free nests through gameplay (previously, breeding was locked behind a paywall), this game is much more fun. The AR is still a bit buggy and eats battery like crazy, but the dots are cute, breeding for new colors and traits is interesting, and recent updates have streamlined the user experience and given us more things to do with our dots.

3 ★It seems really fun but my phone keeps WAY overheating when I play it for more than 5 minutes.... I can't really explore many of the features because of this.... I'm not sure if my phone is too old of a model or if it's something that can be fixed on the developers end, but it is definitely limiting game play. 😢

4 ★It's a great game, but there's a few elements that inhibit gameplay easily. The difficulty to obtain nests with no costs makes it hard to obtain new archetypes. It'd also be amazing if there'd be an optional view to see all Dots at once, to care for them more easily and make maneuvering the app easier.

3 ★I'm happy with the recent changes and ability to get nests in other ways. Now, if we could fix the problems when walking around. The dots always want to go on a short walk for their desires but it bugs the AR out so bad it's basically unplayable when out and about. I hope someday there is an option to turn AR off like in Pokemon go.
