5 ★I've always wanted to learn a new language, but struggled with apps like duolingo as there wasn't much to help me remember the phrases. But with this game, it's made it much easier! With the fighting technique only working when you get a word or phrase correct, it's really helping me remember them! I highly recommend checking it out!
5 ★it's exceptional, although I haven't gotten to the pay wall yet, from the sounds of other reviews it's not one I have to pay as long as I keep my sessions daily and short. to which I don't think it's worth the buy unless you wish to pay for the game (not the learning) and support the development more then you can without paying. I say that as I don't think I can retain the information of the language I would learn in longer sessions so the next session I would be confused. LOVE THE GAME!
3 ★I've had to reduce my rating from 5 to 3 stars because for the better part of a week anytime I attempt to open the app to play I get stuck on the initial loading screen. At one point I even walked away for 45 minutes and came back to no change. It's a shame as this app had been the most successful tool in my learning a language, which is why I left the 3 stars, it might still play for others.
5 ★These app developers did a fantastic job creating an engaging game to facilitate language learning! I have been learning Korean (still a beginner) for over a year using tutoring and workbooks but so greatly appreciate how certain concepts just clicked during my "adventures" with Lingo Legend. I also explored Spanish (I am intermediate) on the app out of curiosity and must say I'm impressed with the level of detail and extensive content. A great way to review and learn new vocabulary + grammar!
5 ★makes it fun and gratifying to learn a new language! completing quests and getting xp and gold for learning makes you want to keep learning. you play cards to fight monsters and as you play, it asks you a question or teaches you something. so getting things right helps you pull off attacks to defeat enemies
5 ★I've tried many language learning apps, however my experience with Lingo Legend is definitely by far the best yet. I'm not punished for answering wrong on a question, I simply don't proceed. You're not marked down for misspelling or incorrectly answering! The game is fun and Patient! I WISH more apps that were for learning adopted this type of learning style. I love this app very much. It makes learning a fun experience.
5 ★enjoy learning through combat, makes you want to learn more, and being able to practice in training and learn that way is fun too, ads to get more points to continue makes sense for learning a language but the points I think are a bit to high for battles cause you only have 20 points, if you dropped it from 10 points to 5 so you have to watch adds every few battles jnstead of every 2 would make it more fun, also dropping ad to bit less wouldn't hurt adds and allows for more testing time.
5 ★As someone with ADHD, using a language app makes it difficult to stay focused and entertained. However, with this being set up more like a game, it's easier to be engaged and learning new words makes me want to keep going. I've only had the app for a couple days and I can already start to decipher some Japanese. The game play isn't anything special, but it makes learning the language easier.
4 ★This is nice for language learning, but not as intuitive as advertised. Really, it needs work, like audio quality and more social features, but it's nice if you only have a little time to waste, and would rather be productive that play other games. Please connect Lingo Legend to other games and partner with them to make it easier to get engaged with the gameplay!
3 ★Great concept and very intuitive language learning method! The only problem is you're hardly given any energy per day, so there's a limit to how much you can actually use the app daily. I would recommend this game to my students, but given how little they could play without paying for premium, it's less of a free game and more of a free trial of the game.
4 ★This game is a ton of fun! I can feel like a warrior and learn! Because I enjoy the story line, I end up learning more because I want to find out what happens next. I do wish there was some sort of breakdown for Kanji in here. But overall, this is a super great app. I wish there were more like it. Addition: perhaps add furigana. Maybe an option to toggle on and off. Seeing it once being introduced to the kanji iant enough to learn it. Thanks!
5 ★I've only just started and finished the first quest, but so far this is actually a really interesting game and concept. It's similar to any other rpg game you may play, but you're actually building vocabulary on another language. There's adventuring, gathering materials, crafting weapons, and even a practice mode. I'm honestly looking forward to learning a new language now.
