The fish was the size of a shark to me, but in all actuality, it was a sunfish, no bigger than the size of an average fist. Its shimmering scales were dancing off the reflecting water. I was meeting his expectation and it made me more excited than when I caught the fish. I was the sparkle in his eye.
He also caught some bigger and smaller fish. Then we shared the food, snacks and beverages in the stream itself. Finally, with a broad smile, we reached our home with fishes which we caught. We captured that moment with my mom as a day of celebration in my life.
